Apollo is a fully Australian owned company, established in the 1970's and now designs and produces world class bikes for cyclists across the world. Their range of road bikes is very comprehensive with several women specific models, cyclocross and TT bikes included. A road bike is one that is designed for faster comfortable long distance riding or racing. There are several styles of road bike, racing, endurance, cyclocross and touring. Each has it's own specific design and is made for a specific purpose. A race bike has a lower riding position for a streamlined, efficient ride, an endurance bike is more upright for a more relaxed position which is easier on the body on longer rides. Touring bikes are different again with features like carrier and pannier mounts, mudguards and other features needed for touring or just commuting.
